Sorry, no snowman army was built today. The snow would have been GREAT for it but I had other things to take care of.

Meet the newest arrivals at Husker Haven. They were all born within a couple minutes of each other. The first one was coming into the world rear end first therefore kinda holding up the other two. When I finally got him out the other two popped right out. All three are bucks.

Sire: Patch-Quilt-Farms D. Dominique
Dam: Husker Haven HXG Black Sox Law

The kids are not named as of yet but I'll come up with something.

Kid #1 seems to be sort of elusive to capture in a picture but I managed this one shot.

Kid #2, he was a little cold and when he started laying on his side, I decided he was going to have to come in the house and get warmed up and fed. He is doing a little better but I am still going to keep him close to make sure he does good.

Kid #3, this one was the largest one with ears like a bassett hound!

Well.....it appears to be snowing yet again in this part of the country. And with the new snow one can only hope it is damp enough to start again on the army.

About 5 mins after I took this picture it started snowing even harder making it impossible to see the tree line on the other side of the highway.

I started making a snowman army tonight on my way out to get the chores done. I got some of the bottom 1/3 of them done and the snow was so heavy, I decided to get the chores done just to take a break. I started back up toward the house to find that army never made it to the their fox holes. Festus took care of the marauding bunch and they never even saw what hit them, I didn't even get time to make their heads!

As a request, I am trying to post some video of a posting on the annihilation of snowman army. I didn't get any video of the carnage that was left of the latest loss of the snowmen, but I did capture a previous video. Festus took care of the single snowman quickly enough along with my egging him on. But I was oblivious to his onslaught on my building army.

(sorry, its a little dark and grainy):

SNOW....SNOW....SNOW.....and so it would seem that snow is forcast for our near future as well. Plowing and shoveling seems to be the ONLY thing I really get done. At Home AND at work. Can I really use the word "done" if I keep having to do it??

We have gotten a lot of snow here in west central OH. I guess not as much as other places but it's enough. I have been plowing and shoveling pathways to get from one point to the other on my little farm. The dogs all love the snow, including Flint who shakes a little then takes off following his guide Festus through the drifts. Sometimes I lose site of him as even the smaller drifts swallow him up.
