Fair Time Fun..........is that what it is????
I leave tomorrow for the Darke County Fair. I only have 5 or 6 goats clipped and still have 5 or 6 yet TO clip, a few more that need feet trimmed and 4 kids need to be tattooed. I have to load the trailer up tonight with hay, straw, grain, feed pans, water buckets and all my clothes, enough for two shows, Darke and Allen Counties. Have to pack food.....I don't think i will be able to leave as early as I wanted to...

Post Op Doc Visit..
Stitches are out and some kind of tape that disappears it on there. He told me any ground that is level, I am good to go, I can ride my bike(I guess mountain biking would be out) and walking out in the yard is probably not a good thing for me. I guess since my way to the barn isn't paved, I will just have to risk it. As for chasing the goats down out in the pasture....guess I'm really not supposed to be doing that, but nothing else I can do, I have to catch them twice a day unless they just don't go to the show, I suppose that could happen.

Post Knee Op update
I am just over a week out of knee surgery now. I worked half days at work this past week, coming home to elevate it and ice it down. I got my milking goats back at the end of the week as well. Milking them is the easy part, it catching them that gets me.
Want to shout out a HUGE Thank You to Nanny Berry and Family for coming to my rescue and putting up with the girls for me!! And to my brother who came up here and helped me out by taking care of the rest of the critters while I was out of commission!!
My knee feels pretty good as long as I ice and elevate it when I know I have used it too much. I have a doctor appt on Tuesday, I guess I'll see what he'll have to say then.
The guys miss ya Craig!
Here is also some updated pictures of rest of this years kids.
Sorry Yelena, it was the best of the 20 or so I took. The kids just won't stand still.

Knee Update
I had arthroscopic surgery on Friday, the 6th. The went in and cleaned everything out that they could, including a 1/2" chunk of bone that must have broken off a long time ago. The doctor said that has to be most of my pain right there.
I went in at 8 am operated on just before 10am and home by noon. Spent most of Friday in a vegatative state in bed. By Saturday night I was out in the barn (on crutches) helping my brother do chores. Sunday I think I was out there morning and night helping the best I could on crutches.
Today I get to take the bandages off, glad about that as the sock things to prevent blood clots are itching like crazy!
