All I can say is.......WTF!!!
I finally got some really good hay this season! I worked most of the weekend un stacking and re-stacking elsewhere so I could get the good hay in the back for use when the girls start milking again.
I had done all my shoulder and knees could handle. I called a friend of mine and he and his son came over Monday afternoon while I was at work to RE-STACK my hay in a prescribed order (third cut hay to the back first cut hay to the front).
When I left the Barn Monday morning, the first cut hay way on the ground stacked nice and neat, all tied in so it wouldn't fall over yadda yadda yadda...all that was needed done was the finish unloading the third cut hay and put it in the very back and then grab the hay in front of it and put it on top of that and then the first cut hay , stack nice and neat in the front so I could use it first.......Ummmm this is what I came home to...
Funny thing....I asked him if he himself would feel safe climbing up on the stack to get bale down?? His answer was a very quiet "...no..."
They will both be back this coming weekend to re-stack the whole thing. That means the cleaning of pens will have to wait yet another week, but at least the hay will be stacked properly...

Last Fair of the Season for the girls....
Sorry this took me so long to finish the fair season updates. The last show was the first weekend in September...
Husker Haven Compass Rose did a great job yet again. She did herself one better this last show, taking home the Grand Champion Ribbon. I hope that her breed (Recorded Grade) was sanctioned! Can't wait to see her freshened next Spring!!!
The rest of Kids all finished the season with colds! It was so cold and windy and the last two fairs some of the kids are having a time getting over their snotty noses. They have been getting medicine everyday. They get one kind for a couple days then another. I may have to talk to the vet this weekend.
